Day 1: Cusco – Ausangate – Ananta
At 4:10 a.m., we will pass by your hotel on our way to Rainbow Mountain for a two-day trek, and then we will drive for approximately three hours to Alqatari, where our professional chef will prepare you a delicious breakfast made with organic ingredients. We will begin our adventure at 4900 feet in the morning, passing through local villages, lush pampas, and hundreds of llamas and alpacas.
The destination will be the Pucacocha steps, from which we will have a spectacular view of the Ausangate glacier. After admiring this magnificent glacier and its colorful lagoons, we return to our camp for a delicious lunch prepared by our chef. Finally, you’ll be able to walk around knowing about the local experiences and customs. As the sun sets over the mountains, our team will set up a tent inside one of our mountain camps for you to relax and, if possible, play soccer at an elevation of over 15,200 feet/4,700 meters while our chef prepares a delicious dinner. Tonight you will be a spectator in a spectacular night under the stars.

Finally, the Rainbow Mountains’ long-awaited big day has arrived. We will wake you up at 3:20 a.m. with coca tea or coffee delivered to your store, followed by a delicious breakfast to fuel your first ascent to Warmi Saya Pass (5150m) (16.8963ft). Then, after descending through breathtaking scenery, we will arrive at the lake and walk along it until we reach Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountains).
You will be the first traveler of the day to arrive at Rainbow Mountain, enjoying a sunrise in the silence of these majestic mountains, taking as many photos as you can and as you wish, before your guide tells you moving stories and lived experiences that will make you appreciate the colorful surrounding mountains. It is an incredible location; at an elevation of 5200 meters above sea level, you will feel the true power of the Andes.
Then, after a two-hour descent, we will arrive at our camp, where your chef will reward you with the best and most delicious Andean lunch for a successful trip. After your delicious lunch, we will return to Cusco in our private van for approximately 3 hours. Arriving in Cusco around 3:30 p.m. and dropping you off at your hotel.
